Introduction
Introduction

Armoured scale insects are important agricultural, horticultural and forestry pests that are difficult to identify. This project is an identification guide and information source on economically important diaspidids of the world.

Information common to more than one species of Diaspididae has been provided in this module, to minimise repetition. The sections on Morphology and Life cycle and biology discuss general features common to most or all species of the Diaspididae. Only species-specific information is given for individual species under Species.
