Diagnostic features
Annual.
Stems to 20cm, decumbent; densely glandular-pubescent in inflorescence and some way below.
Sepals 2-4mm, longer than petals.
Capsule 2-4mm.
Seeds not winged.

Chromosome number: 2n=36.

Habitat
Possibly native; dry sandy and waste places by sea.

Distribution
Frequent in Channel Islands, rare and probably introduced in Cornwall, rare casual elsewhere in South England and South Wales.
