Scientific name: Hypericum xylosteifolium (Spach) N. Robson
Diagnostic features Thicket-forming, evergreen, glabrous shrub. Stems to 1.5m, erect, much-branched, 4-lined. Flowers 1.5-3cm across. Stamens c. as long as petals.
Chromosome number: (2n=40).
Habitat Introduced-naturalized.
Distribution Sometimes grown in gardens and naturalized in 3 shady places in West Lancs and Midwest Yorks; Caucasus.
