Scientific name: Hypericum undulatum Schousb. ex Willd.

Diagnostic features
Erect rhizomatous glabrous perennial.
Stems to 60cm, square in section, with narrow wings up to 0.25mm wide.
Leaves undulate, with abundant translucent glands.
Flowers 12-20mm across.
Petals bright yellow, red-tinged on lowerside.
Black glands on leaves, sepals and sometimes petals, sessile.

Chromosome number: 2n=16.

Habitat
Native; marshy fields and streamsides.

Distribution
Very local in Southwest England and West Wales.
