Pale St John's-wort
Scientific name: Hypericum montanum L.
Diagnostic features Erect perennial to 1m. Petals pale yellow. Black glands sessile on leaves, stalked on sepals.
Chromosome number: (2n=16).
Habitat Native; open woodland, hedgebanks and rocky slopes, usually on calcareous soils.
Distribution Local but widespread in England and Wales.
