Glabrous annual or perennial with basal buds.
Stems to 20cm, erect, very slender, square in section.
Flowers less than 1cm across.
Petals bright yellow.

Chromosome number: 2n=16.

Habitat
Probably introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
Very rare in 2 areas in West and Southwest Ireland; North America.
