Dwarf Mallow
Scientific name: Malva neglecta Wallr.
Diagnostic features Similar to Malva parviflora but petals 9-13mm. Nutlets smooth, pubescent, with sharp smooth angle between dorsal and lateral surfaces.
Chromosome number: 2n=42.
Habitat Native; rough and waste ground, waysides.
Distribution Frequent in Central & South Britain and Channel Islands, very scattered in North England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland and probably introduced there, often only casual.
