Scientific name: Malva verticillata L.
Diagnostic features Similar to Malva parviflora but petals 5-9mm. Nutlets obscurely ridged, ± glabrous, with sharp smooth angle between dorsal and lateral surfaces.
Chromosome number: (2n=c.76, c.84, c.112, c.126).
Habitat Introduced-naturalized; rough and waste ground, casual from wool and other sources, sometimes persisting.
Distribution Infrequent in Central & South England; East Asia.
