Differs from Primula farinosa in its usually wider leaves, longer narrower corolla-tube, and more overlapping and purple corolla-lobes.
Homostylous.

Chromosome number: 2n=54.

Habitat
Native; damp grassy places near sea on cliffs, dunes and pastures.

Distribution
West Sutherland, Caithness and Orkney; endemic.
