Diagnostic features
Leaves 2.5-10cm, broadly ovate, cordate, ± angled.
Corolla-lobes pale pink or rarely white each with dark basal blotch, 12-25mm.

Chromosome number: (2n=24, 32, 34, 36).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized; woods and hedgerows.

Distribution
Very scattered in Channel Islands, Man and Britain North to South Scotland, known in East Kent since 1778; South Europe.
