Diagnostic features
Stems arching, to 2m.
Leaves 2-7cm, ovate, coarsely serrate except near base, glabrous or nearly so.
Corymb simple, round-topped.
Petals white.

Chromosome number: (2n=18, 32, 36).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized; grown in gardens, naturalized in river gorge in Angus since before 1966.

Distribution
Southeast Europe.
