Stems erect, to 1.2m.
Leaves with 2-5 pairs of main leaflets and smaller ones between, tomentose to glabrous on lowerside.
Flowers more than5mm across, white.

Chromosome number: 2n=14, 16.

Habitat
Native; all sorts of wet and damp places.

Distribution
Common throughout British Isles.
