Arctic Bramble
Scientific name: Rubus arcticus L.
Diagnostic features Stems to 30cm, erect, annual, ± glabrous. Rhizomes present. Leaves mostly ternate, with ovate to obovate leaflets. Flowers 1-3, terminal, pink, 15-25mm across. Fruit dark red, of numerous drupes.
Chromosome number: (2n=14).
Habitat Probably native.
Distribution Several records from highlands of Scotland, the last in 1841; extinct.
