Diagnostic features
Perennial with erect to ascending stems to 50cm arising from leaf-rosette.
Differs from Potentilla argentea in larger size.
Leaves grey-tomentose on lowerside, with flat margin.
Upper part of stem with mixed straight and woolly hairs.
Petals yellow, 5-7mm.
Achenes glabrous.

Chromosome number: (2n=42).

Habitat
Introduced-casual; waste places.

Distribution
Occasional casual in Britain, mainly Southeast England; Central & South Europe.
