Diagnostic features
Annual to short-lived perennial with erect to ascending stems to 50cm.
Leaves ternate.
Flowers in terminal cymes.
Petals yellow, 4-5mm, c. as long as sepals or shorter.
Stamens c.20.
Achenes glabrous.

Chromosome number: (2n=42, 56, 70).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized; casual or sometimes naturalized in waste places.

Distribution
Very scattered in England and Wales, rare casual in Scotland and North Ireland; North & Central Europe.
