Diagnostic features Stems to 2m, erect. Basal leaves with 5-10 pairs of leaflets. Flower-heads cylindrical, white.
Chromosome number: (2n=56).
Habitat Introduced-naturalized; grown in gardens and sometimes naturalized.
Distribution Frequent in Central Scotland, very scattered elsewhere in Scotland and England; North America.
