Silver Lady's-mantle

Scientific name: Alchemilla conjuncta Bab.

Diagnostic features
Stems to 30cm, ascending.
Leaves simple, palmately lobed 3/5-4/5 way to base, with 7-9 elliptic lobes, green and glabrous on upperside, densely silver-silky-pubescent on lowerside.

Chromosome number: (2n=120-128).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized; much grown in gardens and sometimes escaping.

Distribution
Scattered in North & Central Britain, with some very old records in NorthWales and Scotland once considered native but probably planted; Alps.
