Diagnostic features
Suckering shrub with erect stems to 2(3)m.
Leaves lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, 7-11cm.
Flowers c.5-10 in short pendent racemes, scented.
Petals greenish-white.
Fruit 10-15mm, bluish-black, bloomed, rarely produced.

Chromosome number: (2n=12).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
On rough ground in Mons, Middlesex, East Sussex and West Kent; West North America.
