Willow-leaved Cotoneaster
Scientific name: Cotoneaster salicifolius Franch.
Diagnostic features Erect, arching or ± procumbent, evergreen shrub to 5m. Leaves 3-10cm, shiny and ± bullate on upperside, tomentose on lowerside. Inflorescences more than(20)30-flowered. Anthers purple to black. Fruits bright red, 4-5mm, subglobose to depressed-globose, with 3-5 stones.
Habitat Introduced-naturalized.
Distribution Frequent in British Isles; West China.
