Hylmö's Cotoneaster

Scientific name: Cotoneaster hylmoei Flinck & J. Fryer

Diagnostic features
Erect, arching, evergreen shrub to 3m.
Leaves 3-7cm, with impressed veins on upperside, tomentose on lowerside.
Inflorescences 15-50-flowered.
Anthers purplish-black.
Fruits bright red, 5-6mm, subglobose, with 2-3(4) stones.

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized; on roughground.

Distribution
Lanarks and Offaly; Central China.

This species is keyed out on Page 2415 in the Text Key.

Note
Our only species of Subgenus Chaenopetalum with pink petals.
