Silverleaf Cotoneaster
Scientific name: Cotoneaster pannosus Franch.
Diagnostic features Stems erect, long, slender, slightly arching, to 3(5)m. Leaves evergreen, 1-2.5(3.5)cm, dull and nearly flat on upperside, tomentose on lowerside. Inflorescences 6-12-flowered. Anthers purplish-black. Fruits dull red, 5-8mm, subglobose to ellipsoid, often with conspicuous erect sepals as in Cotoneaster amoenus, with 2 stones.
Chromosome number: (2n=68).
Habitat Introduced-naturalized.
Distribution West Kent; Southwest China.
