Diagnostic features Evergreen, stiffly erect to spreading shrub to 2m. Differs from Cotoneaster microphyllus in leaves 5-15mm, ± matt on upperside. Inflorescences 1-flowered. Flowers c.10mm across. Sepals acute. Fruits broadly oblong-ellipsoid, 7-10mm, orange, with 1(-2) stones
Habitat Introduced-naturalized.
Distribution Scattered sites in Britain; Southeast Tibet.
