Diagnostic features
Evergreen, procumbent or arching shrub to 0.6m.
Differs from Cotoneaster microphyllus in leaves 4-7mm.
Inflorescences 1-flowered.
Flowers c. 5mm across.
Fruits 4-5mm.

Chromosome number: (2n=34).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
South England, West Ireland and Mid Ebudes; Himalayas.
