Diagnostic features
Perennial with erect stems to 60cm.
Leaflets 6-15 pairs.
Tendrils absent.
Flowers 6-20, 12-15(20)mm, white with purple veins.
Fruits 20-30mm, with 4-5 seeds.

Chromosome number: 2n=12.

Habitat
Native; grassy and rocky places and scrub.

Distribution
Scattered throughout West England, Scotland, Wales and Central & North Ireland.
