Diagnostic features
Procumbent to sprawling annual to 60cm.
Leaflets 3-8 pairs.
Tendrils branched.
Flowers 1-2, 15-25(30)mm, pale dull yellow.
Fruits 20-40mm, 4-8(10)-seeded.

Chromosome number: (2n=14).

Habitat
Native; maritime shingle and cliffs.

Distribution
Very scattered round coasts of Channel Islands and Britain North to South (formerly Central) Scotland, mainly South England and Channel Islands, rather frequent casual inland in Britain.
