Scientific name: Lupinus polyphyllus Lindl.
Diagnostic features Differs from Lupinus regalis(x) in stems unbranched, with 1 inflorescence. Leaflets obtuse to acute. Flowers blue. Lower lip of calyx 3-6mm.
Chromosome number: (2n=48).
Habitat Introduced-naturalized; formerly grown in gardens, naturalized by rivers and railways, sometimes in waste places.
Distribution Scattered in Scotland; West North America.
