Diagnostic features
Stems ascending, to 25cm.
Leaves 5-10cm, obovate to obtrullate, subacute.
Flowers white.
Fruits c.10mm, whitish, with persistent styles as 2 horns.

Chromosome number: (2n=48).

Habitat
Introduced-survivor; much grown in public places as ground-cover, sometimes 'running wild'.

Distribution
Few sites in West Kent since 1968; Japan.
