Scientific name: Euphorbia platyphyllos L.
Diagnostic features Glabrous or pubescent erect annual to 80cm. Leaves obovate to elliptic, sessile, cordate at extreme base, serrulate. Capsules with small hemispherical papillae, glabrous. Seeds smooth.
Chromosome number: 2n=30.
Habitat Native; cultivated and rough ground.
Distribution Formerly locally frequent in South & East Britain, now very local in South England North to Cambs and Worcs.
