Glabrous (or ± so) erect annual to 50cm.
Leaves obovate, tapered to base, serrulate.
Capsules smooth, glabrous.
Seeds with reticulate ridges.

Chromosome number: 2n=42.

Habitat
Native; cultivated ground and waste places.

Distribution
Common over lowland British Isles, perhaps introduced in Ireland.
