Woody vine potentially more than 10m.
Tendrils branched, lacking discs.
Leaves orbicular, cordate, with 5-7 palmate lobes.
Fruit green to red or black, up to 2cm, broadly ellipsoid.

Chromosome number: (2n=38, 76).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
Increasingly grown on field-scale in South England, naturalized in hedges and scrub and by tips; scattered in Channel Islands, South England and South & Westcentral Wales; Europe.
