Diagnostic features
Leaves usually dark green, often with light marbling, often lobed more than 1/2 way to base; hairs whitish, with rays lying parallel to leaf surface and also projecting away from it.

Chromosome number: 2n=48.

Habitat
Common over East, Central & North Britain, uncertain further West.
