Diagnostic features
Evergreen shrub to 1.3m.
Basalleaves absent.
Lower leaves elliptic-ovate, cuneate to truncate at base, 3-9cm, with shorter petiole.
Calyx 10-20mm.
Corolla 23-35mm, yellow.

Chromosome number: (2n=20).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
Grown in gardens and ± naturalized on sea-cliffs, banks and rough ground in South England, Man and Ireland, rare throwout elsewhere in Britain; Mediterranean.
