Diagnostic features
Stems erect, to 80cm.
Leaves ovate-cordate, serrate, petiolate.
Calyx with sparse usually glandular and eglandular hairs.
Corolla 12-18mm, blue with white lower lip.

Chromosome number: (2n=34).

Habitat
Introduced-naturalized.

Distribution
In hedgerows and wood borders since 1929 in North Somerset and since 1972 in Surrey; South &East Europe.
